Mental Health Week - LGBTQIA+ Picnic - Saturday 10 October
Saturday 10 October - 2pm, Busselton Foreshore
It's Mental Health Week and the theme this year is Strengthening Our Community - Live. Learn. Work. Play. Join us for a casual picnic and meet some new friends! We will bring some snacks, drinks, tunes and some games. Everyone is welcome - LGBTQIA+, questioning, and allies.
We will be set up at the Busselton foreshore on the grass area near the ship playground and amphitheatre. We will have sunscreen and hand sanitiser available.
Mental Health Week is a great opportunity to boost the mental health of our community by:
• Encouraging each of us to support and look out for one another
• Promoting mental health literacy and self-care tips
• Raising awareness of mental health issues and reducing stigma associated with seeking support
• Sharing resources and advice for LGBTQIA+ people living in the south west.
This event is possible thanks to the support from the Western Australian Association for Mental Health (WAAMH), Mental Health Commission and Lotterywest.
Social catch up - Last Sunday of the month
We are currently having a social catch up at 3pm on the last Sunday of each month. Everyone is welcome to come and hang out for a chat. There is no agenda, just social times. If you're queer, or questioning, or an ally, please come and say hi. If the weather is nice, we will be outside on the grass between the Equinox and the beach, or if the weather isn't nice we will head inside to the couches at the Equinox. See facebook for more details.
