Painted on 1 November 2024 to launch the Pride Wellbeing Festival, this bench represents the Progress Pride Flag. In addition to the six rainbow flag colours, this flag design includes acknowledgement of marginalised people of colour in the LGBTQ+ community, including those living with HIV/AIDS, as well as the trans community, and intersex people, in an arrow to show forward movement.

Trans bench

This bench was painted to represent the transgender pride flag on 17 May 2024 (IDAHOBIT) and to show our love and support for trans and gender diverse people, while acknowledging the dangerous escalation in transphobia in recent years.

IDAHOBIT, International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism, and Transphobia, is now sometimes referred to as International Day Against LGBTQ+ Discrimination. This day marks the anniversary of 17 May 1990, when the World Health Organisation removed homosexuality from the Classification of Diseases.

rainbow bench - (Original)

Painted October 2023, to launch our first Pride Wellbeing Week festival, Bunnings Busselton generously donated the paint for this project.

This bench was painted with six colours representing the traditional pride flag in celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community.

This bench was removed in June 2024 as part of a redevelopment of the area.
