2023 pride wellbeing week

From 28 October to 5th November 2023, our first Pride Wellbeing Week included 18 events including workshops, talks, sporting events and social activities, aimed at supporting the mental health, wellbeing, and social connections of the south west LGBTQIA+ community.

2022 Children's Week Board Games Day - October 2022

We had a great time at our 2022 Go for 2&5 Children's Week event at Odyssey Hobby and Gaming, learning a heap of new strategy games and snacking on delicious fruit and veggies. Games played included Spot It, Sushi Go, Carccasonne, Splendour, Battle Sheep and Dragonwood.


This event was supported by Healthway, Lotterywest, the Department of Communities, and Meerilinga.

2022 PRIDE Queer Film Festival - May 2022

We were thrilled to bring the PRIDE Queer Film Festival to Busselton for the first time in May 2022.

Special thanks to the PRIDE Queer Film Festival team, The US Consulate General Perth, City of Busselton, and Origins Market. 

This fantastic weekend of film was part of the Busselton Performing Arts Festival

2021 Children's Week Celebration - 23 October 2021

We had a great time at our Go for 2&5 Celebrate Children's Week event in Mitchell Park, with games, arts and crafts, a delicious fruit and veggies to snack on, and some fantastic entertainment. 


Thanks to everyone who came down and shared the fun with us, and special thanks to Jules Candy and Mr Michaels for the music and magic show.

2021 Busselton Rainbow Dog Walk - 6 March 2021

We over 60 fantastic rainbow doggies join us for a 2km walk along the stunning Busselton foreshore, followed by a fun morning with costumes, games, tricks and heaps of prizes. Big thanks to our amazing event sponsors including Margaret River Chocolate Company, The Goose, Woody Nook, Busselton Stockfeed, Busselton MultiService, Viva Books, Hype, Urban Coffee House, Cafe D'Amore, Blue Buddha, Shabby Duck, and Dunsborough Vets.

This event raised $3200 for Busselton Hospice Care Inc. - a community funded service based at the Geographe Bay Centre, enabling people in the south west to have the best possible access to high quality care at the end of life, and quality, compassionate palliative care and bereavement support. 

Mental Health Week Picnic - 10 October 2020

The 2020 Mental Health Week theme was 

                 Strengthening Our Community - Live. Learn. Work. Play.  

Every year Mental Health Week is a great opportunity to boost the mental health of our community by:

• Encouraging each of us to support and look out for one another

• Promoting mental health literacy and self-care tips

• Raising awareness of mental health issues and reducing stigma associated with seeking support

• Sharing resources and advice for LGBTQIA+ people living in the south west.

This event was possible thanks to the support from the Western Australian Association for Mental Health (WAAMH), Mental Health Commission and Lotterywest.

Busselton Rainbow Dog Walk - 7 March 2020

With 87 rainbow doggies taking part in a 2km or 5km group walk along the stunning Busselton foreshore path we had a fun morning with costumes, games, tricks and heaps of prizes. Big thanks to our amazing event sponsors  including Cloutz Events, Cooper Studio, The Ship Inn, Busselton MultiService, Brew+, Vasse Vets, Viva Books, Hype, Urban Coffee House, Cafe D'Amore, Australia Post, The Good Egg, Blue Buddha, Shabby Duck, and Dunsborough Vets.

Loud 'n' Proud Day - Saturday 29 February 2020

Thanks to legends at the Dunsborough Tavern for hosting us for a Sydney Mardi GraI watch party and karaoke night!!! To our amazing entertainers - the ever fabulous Barry Mundi, the supremely talented Natalie Jane Joy, voguing sensation DJ Emma and the stunning team from Dance Work Dunsborough - thanks for providing us some excellent entertainment. Special thanks to Milena Di Latte Photography for some gorgeous shots and to the Ramada Resort by Wyndham Dunsborough for sponsoring us!
